Molded-in Colors

Color is an emotional driver and can often influence a purchase. But if the color isn’t consistent, long-lasting and mar-resistant, that satisfaction can fade quickly. Creating consistent, long-lasting color without affecting the properties is difficult. Ticona appearance polymers disperse color into the pellet to ensure that the proper color is mixed at the molecular level and will be consistent throughout the molded part.

  • Coloring at the molding machine can lead to higher scrap rates and higher rejection rates
  • Poor mixing at the molding machine can also lead to diminishing mechanical properties
  • Color sells – Use color to attract customers and reinforce your branding. Ticona has thousands of colors to choose or we can create custom formulations for you.
  • Reduced system costs – Molded-in color eliminates the expensive priming and painting, plating and expensive secondary packaging traditionally associated with painted parts.
  • FDA/NSF-compliant colors available.
