Impet® PET

Like products based on its chemical cousin PBT, those formulated with PET base resin offer outstanding physical properties and superior thermal and chemical resistance, with the added ability to support higher temperature exposure.

Glass-reinforced Impet polyester products are outstanding candidates for high performance applications calling for strength, rigidity, dimensional stability, toughness and excellent electrical properties.

Custom-modified Impet PET resins are also available where needed to meet the specific requirements of certain packaging and film applications.

The distinctive crystallization characteristics of PET make it an excellent choice for larger parts such as automotive grill opening retainers, but smaller automotive parts also use Impet PET. Examples include windshield wiper brackets, throttle body covers and air-conditioning and heater duct doors.

Due to its high rigidity at high temperatures, Impet PET can also find application in functional parts of electric irons, microwaves and extractor hoods.
