The Kelsterbach site south of Frankfurt has a long tradition as a Ticona location, and has been closely involved with the production and further development of Hostaform®  acetal copolymer (POM) since the 1960s. In addition, Celstran®  long fiber reinforced thermoplastics (LFRT) have been manufactured at the Kelsterbach site since 1994. Since 2002, Kelsterbach has been the European headquarters of Ticona, with a new administration building at that site. In 2005, a special Hostaform MT (medical technology) product line has been set-up.
