Customer Survey Requests
As an ISO 9001 and TS 16949 certified company, we see the benefit in information sharing throughout the supply chain. We have instituted a system that has proven to be an efficient and convenient way for our customers throughout the world to quickly obtain pertinent information about Ticona. This web-based system allows significant numbers of customers to complete individual surveys at their convenience. The information provided can be entered and reformatted by the customer to fit within their individual management system constraints. Due to the number of requests we receive daily , we regret that we cannot anticipate individual survey questions or complete individual surveys. We do believe, however, that we can address the majority of your survey questions with the following links and attachments.
Below is brief overview of our system with the most current documentation and information available via links at the end of this letter. This web-based system provides information about our facilities, polymer production, compounding plants, and laboratory and design centers servicing thousands of customers throughout the world and over 1,800 employees. We describe the various products we offer and applications in the markets we serve. We highlight the history of Ticona, which reaches back to the 19th century with two companies: Celanese and Hoechst. We also identify the direction of Ticona with information on our corporate values, financial expectations, and executive committee profiles.
Meeting the quality and environmental, health and safety requirements of our customers, both locally and globally, is a critical activity for Ticona. We constantly pursue and update the management system certifications needed for this purpose indeed our quality management system has been certified to ISO 9000 standards since the early 1990s. Important certifications include ISO 9001:2000, ISO/TS 16949:2002, ISO 14001 and ISO/IEC 17025. All production sites and supporting remote locations of Ticona worldwide are certified to these standards as applicable. A number of appropriate Ticona laboratories are accredited according to ISO/IEC 17025 and meet general requirements for testing and calibration laboratories. At Ticona we are aware that the compliance of our engineering resins with regulations is fundamental for our customers. Many of our products and product grades comply with a wide variety of regulations and standards in both Europe and North America.
At Ticona we use Six Sigma and Lean methodologies to continue to improve our business. We utilize Key Process Indicators that are continually monitored and have confirmed our ongoing, year over year performance improvements. With certification of our management systems to several international standards, we maintain all the needed and beneficial components of a management system. These include processes such as document control, internal audits, health and safety programs, training, quality planning, product development, etc.
